Hello all, I am wondering what would be the recommended and most reliable way of detecting from C whether OS4 is running on a Classic Amiga (A1200/A4000) vs. a real NG Amiga (AmigaOne, X5000, etc.). For the purpose of performing read/writes to Classic Amiga custom chip registers if present or otherwise avoiding them.

I hope this is the correct board for my question. After I update my SDK with the latest version and set GCC 11.2.0 as default I get weird errors when compiling my project.

Sometimes (not always) it throws errors for not finding in one class - but in all other classes it compiles normally including . This error happens occasiionally and it always refers to a different class.
If these errors are not happening then it complains about near endless errors regarding things like:

using VBCC to build OS4 program I get a crash on CloseCatalog().

So I've been using Amiga lib for years in OS4 but some parts are obviously missing. In fact, right now I'm not even sure where to find what functions are even in it. It has no include file and no doc in the SDK. It used to contain some extra Cx functions but they appear to be missing. Well, for me they don't work. ArgString() is working but when I tried using HotKey() I got a linker error about CxBase missing. Does it use it a custom name for the Commodities base? Where is the info for Amiga lib?
